Get full visibility of items that are on the move – even when transfers take time.
With Internal Transfers in Rackbeat, you can manage items that are moved over longer distances or periods of time, for example between addresses, warehouses, or countries. Items are temporarily placed in a transit location, so you always know what is in transit, where it is headed, and what has not yet been received.
Internal Transfers are designed for situations where a standard inventory transfer is not sufficient—for example when items are:
1. shipped in containers
2. transported by ship or truck
3. moved between physical locations over an extended period
Instead of “disappearing” from inventory, items are moved to a transit location, where they remain registered until they are received at the final destination.
This allows you to:
– see which items are currently in transit
– maintain accurate inventory levels during transfer
– complete the transfer once items are physically received
– avoid uncertainty and manual inventory adjustments
When the transfer is completed, the receipt is registered and the items are automatically moved from the transit location to the final warehouse location.
